WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW & DO TO SUPPORT ME
Staying on Task:
At times, to avoid doing tasks, I will try to use the restroom as an escape. Redirect me by using “first, and then”. Have me perform the task before allowing me to use the restroom. Sometimes I may even forget that I asked and that is okay, I usually only need to go to the restroom only one time while at the program.
Communicating/Using Proper Gestures/Quiet Mouth:
When things get too overwhelming for me, I might begin to yell. You can help me by redirecting me to use my words.
I am on a sugar-free diet because I am diabetic. This might cause me to have low energy. You can help me by praising and motivating me to participate in any given tasks or activities.
