🌿"My Pace Wellness Walk"

Goal: Encourage physical activity, sensory regulation, and personal wellness in a calm, predictable, empowering outdoor setting.

  • Name: My Pace Wellness Walk

  • Location: Community park with paved trails, benches, and shaded areas

  • Duration: 45–60 minutes


📋 Activity Plan

The activity is structured around a loop trail or pathway with five optional wellness “checkpoints.” Each one integrates movement, mindfulness, and choice.

Checkpoint 1: Your participant can choose to do 🚶‍♂️Mindful Movement Start OR 💪 Strength Spot


🚶‍♂️ Mindful Movement Start

  • Task: Begin with a slow-paced walk, focusing on breathing and posture.

  • Focus on following the “Side by Side” method

If the participant walks past you:

  • Stop and kindly redirect him with praise.

  • Continue to walk together as a TEAM.


💪 Strength Spot

  • Task: Do two sets of one of the following (participant choice):

    • Wall push-ups

    • Step-ups on a low bench

    • Standing marches
