FAQ Frequently Asked Questions Curious about hiring our participants? You're in good company! Here's why partnering with Clear Motivations can benefit your business, plus answers to common employer questions Why should I hire a participant from Clear Motivations? Clear Motivations participants are equipped with the skills to thrive in today’s workforce. Each participant receives on-the-job training and ongoing support from a professional job coach. They've also completed an internship program focused on six key qualities of successful employees: Strong work ethic Dependability Positive attitude Self-motivation Team orientation Effective communication What types of positions can participants fill? Our participants are open and eager to learn in a wide variety of roles. Current positions held by participants include: Office Clerk Food Prep/Cook Service Assistant Store Associate Backroom Associate Dishwasher/Maintenance If you have a position available, there’s a good chance we have a participant who is ready to work! What is their availability? Availability varies by individual, but many of our participants have flexible or full availability. We will work with you to find a participant whose schedule aligns with your needs. Do I have to pay the job coach? No. Clear Motivations employs job coaches directly. We handle all insurance and related fees. Coaches are there solely to support the participant and ensure a smooth onboarding and workplace experience. Do I need special training to work with someone who has a disability? Not at all. Our job coaches are trained to provide that support. As an employer, you are responsible for treating the participant like any other employee. We’ll ensure the coaching and support structure is behind the scenes. Is there a minimum or maximum number of hours the participant must work? No. There are no required minimum or maximum work hours. Most participants are looking for part-time work, but we can help you find someone whose availability matches your needs. I’m interested in hiring a CM participant. What’s the next step? ExD (Exceeding Dreams) is CM's Media & Marketing department. We pride ourselves on truly making a difference in every life that we touch. Currently, ExD is employed by 2 of our very own participants. Both direct hires had previous knowledge of the basics of social media and Photoshop. However, after getting hired at ExD, their skills have been shooting through the roof, and are only perfecting their craft each day.

- Kickball Communication Trail | Clear Motivations
Kickball Communication Trail Focus: Involves throwing a kickball, coordinated movement, and emphasizes communication, sensory regulation, and focus Participant's Name* Coach's Name* Coach's Email* 🔶 Overview Goal: Improve motor skills, focus, and expressive communication while engaging in a sensory-friendly physical task. Setting: Open grassy area in a park with visual boundaries (e.g., anything available!) Duration: 30–45 minutes (adjustable) 🔁 Activity Description Objective: The participant moves side-to-side (laterally) between two markers and throws a kickball to the coach each time, while also practicing a simple communication or focus task. 🗺️ Setup: Markers: Place 3 items in a row, about 5–6 feet apart (Left, Center, Right). Coach: Stands about 6–8 feet in front of the center cone with a ball. Ball: A soft kickball or lightweight therapy ball 🔄 Step-by-Step Instructions: 1. Start at the Left Coach gently tosses the ball to the participant. Participant catches the ball and says (e.g., “My favorite food is?” or “My favorite hobby is?”) then throws the ball back to the coach. Coach gives praise! 2. Move to Right Participant side-steps (or walks) to the right. Repeat: catch, respond to a prompt, throw. 3. Continue a total of 10 rounds, alternating between left and right. 🔄 Focus & Communication Prompts (examples) You can rotate or ask get-to-know-you questions.
